Victorian Extravaganza
A Wonderful New Event At OCHS!
On Saturday, April 28, 2012, OCHS presented our first Victorian Extravaganza! Our Museum was beautifully decorated with floral arrangements provided by nine local florists. Several Ocean County artists helped to dress each room of the museum with their wonderful creations. We had music, presented by two members of the Gargden State Youth Orchestra, and demonstrations prepared by Skip's Florist, Ocean County Master Gardeners, Ocean County Parks & Recreation Department, Uriah Creek Bee Keeping, and the Scum Soap Company. Several vendors offered their plants and crafts for sale, and of course, there were outstanding refreshments prepared and donated by our membership. The day closed with a raffel drawing for a basket of goodies valued at more than $500. All items in the basket were gifts from local merchants who helped us to make the day a memorable event.
Thanks to Betsy Dudas and her team of volunteers, as well as all of our merchants, demonstrators, vendors, and you, our Members and Friends, our Victorian Extravaganza was a huge success!
