Spring Tea 2009

A Victorian Tradition

On Thursday, May 14, 2009 Ocean County Historical Society held our annual Spring Tea In The Victorian Tradition. This was our 11th tea, and it was, once again, one of our most popular events. Our 81 guests, at two seatings, enjoyed various kinds of tea, along with scones, assorted finger sandwiches, and delicious desserts. All of our guests enjoyed food and conversation with friends. Our oldest guest, 94 years of age, was attending for the first time and inquired about the date of the next tea so that she could place it on her calendar!

In addition to bringing good food and friends together in the Victorian tradition, our teas serve as an important fund raiser for OCHS. To date these events have raised about $15,000 to help keep the Society operating!
