Quilts In Autumn '08
Historic Quilts Filled The Museum!
Our annual Quilts In Autumn show opened on October 4, 2008 and ran until October 11, 2008. The event, organized by Mary Lou Unger, filled our Museum with historic and contemporary quilts. Many of the quilts were on loan from members for the show, others were from the OCHS collection. Several of the quilts were created as early as the mid nineteenth century. Some were church fund raisers, others were for family use, and have become precious heirlooms handed down to decendants of the quilter. Click the photos below to enjoy just a few of the 125 quilts from this year's event. Be sure to plan a visit to the Museum for next year's show!
