Quilts In Autumn - 2011
A Traditional Autumn Favorite!
OCHS presented our annual event, Quilts In Autumn, from Thursday, November 3 through Sunday, November 6, 2011. As always, the show was an outstanding success! More than two hundred guests visited the Museum to view more than 180 quilts that were displayed throughout the building. Many of the quilts were historic collectors items, others were contemporary works. All were magnificent!
Noted quilt historian Ellie Greco spoke to a full house gathering on the history of some of quilts that were presented in the show, and Karen Dever wa on hand to apraise quilts for those collectors who wished to know the value of their quilts. The Little Treasures Boutique was available in our lobby for shopping as guests were leaving.
In addition to the enjoyment of beautiful works of art, Quilts In Autumn is one of our major fundraising events of the year. All money raised from the show is used to support OCHS and to help us to continue our mission: Telling Ths Stories Of Ocean County.
