An Evening With Three Authors

Discussion of Ocean County Families During The Civil War

Wednesday, February 11, 2009 was an interesting and informative evening for all who attended An Evening With Three Authors at the Ocean County Library in Toms River. OCHS sponsored the program, held in the Green Room of the library, to bring information to the public about Ocean County families during the Civil War. Each author discussed his book and the research that led to the creation of the book. A Family of Soldiers, Letters Home to Herbertsville from the Civil War, by Gene Donatiello, Brothers ‘til Death, The Civil War Letters of William, Thomas, and Maggie Jones, by Richard Trimble, and The Giberson Letters, Letters Written By Oliver C. Giberson During The Civil War, by Nick Rakoncza are all in our Research Center. Mr. Rakoncza’s book will soon be available for sale in the Museum.

We thank all members and friends for attending An Evening With Three Authors. Keep an eye open for future programs to be sponsored by OCHS!
