NJ Fan and Author Linda Barth Visits OCHS
No stranger to Ocean County, Linda Barth will speak to OCHS friends and members on Sunday, April 2, 2017, at 2:00 PM in the Birdsall Room of the Ocean County Historical Society, 26 Hadley Ave., Toms River, NJ 08753. She will share her book, A History of Inventing in New Jersey: From Thomas Edison to the Ice Cream Cone, with us. A former fourth grade teacher, Ms. Barth will explore groundbreaking, useful, fun, and even silly inventions and their New Jersey roots. She is sure to entertain adults and children alike!
Many history buffs know Linda Barth as the Executive Director and Newsletter Editor of the League of Historical Societies of NJ for which she is invaluable; her talents and efforts ensure that local historical societies throughout the state are informed about planned activities and League meetings. She has written two books on the D & R Canal for Arcadia Publishing as well as two children’s picture books. With her husband, she has published The Millstone Valley Through Time and Somerville Through Time.
