Welcome to the web site of The Ocean County Historical Society, one of New Jersey's outstanding historical societies. We've been a part of Ocean County, NJ, since 1950, and present on the internet since 2000. We're happy to be using the World Wide Web to help keep the rich, proud history of Ocean County alive.
If you'd like to visit the museum, our hours of operation are Tuesday and Thursday from 1 - 3 PM, and the first Saturday of each month from 1 - 4 PM. You can visit our current exhibit Monday - Friday between from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM. School tours and other group tours can be arranged by calling our office. Our Research Center is open Tuesday and Wednesday from 1 - 4 PM, and the first Saturday of each month from 1 - 4 PM.
