Arthur E. Stevens Jr. Art Exhibit
Paintings by Arthur E. Stevens Jr. on Exhibit at OCHS
Visit Ocean County Historical Society, 26 Hadley Avenue, Toms River, NJ, and view water color and oil paintings by Ocean County artist, Arthur E. Stevens, from May 30th through September 8th. You may have already enjoyed some of Arthur’s paintings in the stairwell to the Birdsall Room. Those paintings are just a few of his vast portfolio, so we invited him to display others throughout our museum.
Mr. Stevens is married to the former Virginia Fretz and they reside in Forked River. He retired from a teaching career of over thirty-six years in 1994. In the words of his grandson, Russell Risden, Arthur is a ‘Renaissance man’ because of his knowledge of many subject areas, his travels, and his scholarly pursuits.
Learn more about this talented artist by visiting the museum on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1:00-3:30, and the first Saturday of each month, 1:00-3:30. Meet Mr. Stevens in person on Saturday, September 2nd, when he will be in the Pauline Miller Room from 10:00-2:00 during the 31st Annual Antiques, Crafts, & Collectibles Faire. You may wish to purchase paintings of Ocean County scenes at that time. Free admission to the museum for tours. Donations accepted.
